The PELLET@LAS pellet market database contains comprehensive information on the European wood pellet market. By using the web interface you can search our database and find pellet market actors throughout Europe as well as pellet prices, consumption and production in most European countries. Pellet market actors have the possibility to add their company data and get free exposure to their customers via this website.
The following is a guide how to search and add data in the PELLET@LAS pellet market database.
Search pellet market actors - using the map section
The web interface allows the user to view the location and find contact data of pellet market actors throughout Europe or in the individual countries. Market actor category is chosen by clicking the dots to the right of the map.
The information can be accessed either by directly clicking the red dots on the map, by zooming to a specific region using the usual Google functionality or by choosing a country in the drop-down box below the map. Clicking a dot marking an actor will reveal contact data for the specific actor. By checking the "view all companies" box below the map a list of registered market actors in the respective category appears. Clicking an actor in this table will reveal further information on the specific market actor.
View pellet market properties - using the graph section
The facility below the map allows the user to search actual and historical information about the pellet market in Europe or in a specific European country. Dependent on the level of available information in the chosen country it is possible to choose view data in five categories: boiler information, pellet prices, pellet production, production capacity and consumption of pellets.
In order to provide a deeper level of information and thus service a large variety of users, the main categories have a variety of sub-categories. The price information is for instance divided into sub-categories according to delivery type: Loose for households, Small bags for households, Bulk (CIF ARA). All prices are shown including VAT. For price data from non-euro countries, the prices have been calculated using exchange rates from the European Central Bank for the first bank day of each month.
Below the graph appear further features. The user has the possibility to edit the data view by choosing the months for which data should appear. In the information window below the graph to the right appear comments applying to the data which is currently shown such as the source, standards, VAT for the specific country etc.
Adding and editing company data - using the administration module
The market actor content in the PELLET@LAS pellet market database is populated by the market actors themselves. Each market actor in the database has an account and is responsible for the information on their own company data. If or when existing company data is altered by the PELLET@LAS partners, the specific market actor is informed via e-mail.
Accessing an existing account
If you have once entered your company data in the previous version of the market actor database (this could either be via the PELLET@LAS website or European Pellet Centre website), you already have a PELLET@LAS account. If you have not already done so, you may access your account in this way:
- Click on "Login" in the left menu
- Click on "Remind password"
- Enter your user ID - i.e. the contact e-mail address that you have previously entered
- Click "Submit"
You will then receive an e-mail with a new password.
Creating a new account
In order to create a new company account and get visibility to other pellet market stakeholders, please follow the steps below:
- Click on "Login" in the left menu
- Click on "Create account"
- Fill in information in the form (except password)
- Once data is ready, click on the "Geolocalize" button below the form
- Fill in you password (twice)
- Click on "Save"
In order to have the best results of the Google geolocalisation, please be precise with the address, you enter. If the system localises your company wrongly, it is likely to be because Google does not understand your address. Generally the system best handles simple addresses with a street name and number, a zip code and a main town/city.
When you have successfully created an account an e-mail is automatically sent to the administrator. When the administrator has activated your account, you will receive an e-mail and you can access your account in order to add or alter information. PLEASE NOTE: During the summer break 24th of July 2010 to 16th of August 2010 new accounts will not be activated.
Editing and adding data
